Core Belief One – Academic Excellence
All Students will graduate high school prepared for college, military or career/workforce.
- Promote positive student behavior and learning environment by encouraging safe, healthy, and secure schools for staff and students.
- Ensure students are meeting content standards at or above grade level through rigorous and challenging curriculums with multiple and diverse pathways.
- Promote the secondary and post-secondary pathways of college, career, and/or military along with CTE, AP & concurrent courses along with student access to the Technical College of the Rockies.
- Ensure high quality instruction while promoting students’ growth & achievement on CMAS, PSAT & SAT assessments along with a goal of students in each grade level meeting or exceeding the state average.
- Support District staff through communication and collaboration to achieve student growth & achievement.
Core Belief Two – Promoting a Positive Learning Culture
All stakeholders should create engaging relationships and a caring culture focusing on a positive learning environment.
- Lead with a growth mindset while being flexible with Board leadership.
- Encourage various student programs which build positive social/emotional relationships, support students’ mental and physical health, and enhance a diverse curriculum.
- Continue to support a Student Advisory Committee, Parent Accountability, Coordinating Council, Classified Council, and District Leadership to enhance conversation.
- Create and encourage opportunities to receive feedback and input from students, staff, parents, communities and constituents through transparent open meetings, public comment, face-to-face meetings, email, phone and etc.
- Build a culture of success through celebrating accomplishments and diversity for students, staff and community.
- Review, update, & approve School District policies.
Core Belief Three – Strategic Use of Resources
Utilize District resources in a responsible, transparent and effective manner.
- Ensure District facilities are safe and contribute to a healthy environment.
- Ensure the active recruitment and retention of high-quality staff members while promoting healthy lifestyles, along with the activities of a small-town atmosphere.
- Continue to review and implement class size guidelines to support an efficient and supportive learning and teaching environment.
- Ensure professional development opportunities for staff around curriculum alignment and resource support.
- Oversee capital projects, continue to keep facilities up-to-date, safe, and in good working condition.
- Ensure a quality bond campaign for capital projects and improvements with an emphasis on safety.
- Maintain transparent and sound fiscal stewardship of financial resources that follow Board policies. Performance will be monitored through annual audits and budget.
